En‑ROADS is a climate simulator, co-developed by Climate Interactive and MIT Sloan, that reveals how today’s policy and technology choices can shape our planet’s future - from global temperature and extreme weather to changes in energy consumption, global health, and GDP.
Developed by Climate Interactive and MIT Sloan, En‑ROADS is grounded in the best available science and rigorously tested. Its interactive and accessible design makes it a powerful tool for instantaneously creating and testing hundreds of climate scenarios, exploring global and local impacts, understanding complex climate dynamics, and informing decisions at any level.
Despite decades of research and trillions invested in climate solutions, most leaders are still either unmotivated to take bold action or unclear on how. Some struggle to connect the long-term picture with their immediate goals, and don’t see the value in investing in ambitious climate initiatives. Others are overwhelmed by options and lack a way to cut through the noise and identify the strategies that will deliver real impact. Nearly all operate without the practical tools and contextualized support they need to identify and implement effective solutions. As a result, if any action is taken, it’s often a short-sighted, narrowly-focused response.
