SEC - Climate disclosure regulation |

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) passed a climate disclosure regulation on March 6, 2024, although it was scaled back from the original proposal. Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program (GHGRP) |

The GHGRP requires reporting of greenhouse gas (GHG) data and other relevant information from large GHG emission sources, fuel and industrial gas suppliers, and CO2 injection sites in the United States. Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) |

The Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) gives EPA the authority to control hazardous waste from cradle to grave. This includes the generation, transportation, treatment, storage, and disposal of hazardous waste. RCRA also set forth a framework for the management of non-hazardous solid wastes. The 1986 amendments to RCRA enabled EPA to address environmental problems that could result from underground tanks storing petroleum and other hazardous substances. |
