.

There exists a close vertical relationship within Organisational futuring:

  • Outer focus: Human capital
  • Other focus: Talent development
  • Inner focus: Motivation

.

On the Other focus level, a close relationship exists with:

  • Learning organisation
  • Process management
  • HR management

.

Corporate futuring and Organisational futuring intertwine, on the Other focus level, through:

  • Ethical decision making
  • Performance
  • Operational management
  • Organisational structure

.

In concrete terms, this means:

  • The trio - 'Motivation', 'Talent development' and 'Human capital' - is inextricably linked.
  • Your 'Talent development' contributes substantially to 'Learning organisation', 'Process management' and 'HR management'.
  • Furthermore, 'Talent development' is part of the Other focus level where 'Organisational-' and 'Corporate futuring' meet.

Questions we can ask ourselves when contemplating our Talent development

  • Supports our 'Talent development' our 'Learning organisation', our 'Process management' and our 'HR management'?
  • Are our idea's about development based on 'Motivation'?
  • Is our 'Talent development' robust enough to generate a viable 'Human capital'?
  • Is our 'Talent development' keen enough to support 'Ethical decision making' and our 'Organisational structure'?
  • Is our 'Talent development' a collider or a mediator between our 'Motivation' and our 'Human capital'?
