Understanding Aeon

Aeon refers to an indefinitely long period, an age or an era.

In some belief systems, an aeon is a unit of time that is longer than human history, and it's often associated with the cycles of the universe, the creation and destruction of worlds, and the eternal nature of existence.

In some traditions, the concept of Aeon refers to a period in the history of humanity where the dominant cultural influences change.

Aeon is often used to refer to an extremely long period, such as a million years, where the characters and events are beyond the human scale of time, and the characters can have a god-like perspective on time.

Overall, Aeon is a concept that goes beyond human experience and measurement. It's often associated with the eternal, the infinite, and the cyclical nature of existence.

It's a reminder that time

  • is not just a measurable quantity
  • but also something beyond our understanding
  • and that it can transcend human history and experience.
